It consists of four 20 credit modules and one 40 credit module for qualified, experienced nurses to ‘top up’ their diploma to a degree in Nursing.

This course is intended to be a top-up degree for Diploma holders in Quantity Surveying, HND in Building Studies or equivalent as well as other cognate HND diploma holders. The degree is awarded by Leeds Beckett University (UK) and is offered in Mauritius in collaboration with Rushmore Business School. The programme is meant for Diploma Holders who would like to pursue their studies in the f ield of construction management.
This is an accredited degree by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) UK and a non-accredited degree by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). “With regard to Degrees in Quantity Surveying which are not approved by the Council (PQSC), the prospective applicant will either need to successfully complete a Masters in Quantity Surveying approved by RICS or become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS), to be considered as equivalence and therefore be eligible to enrol with PQSC.”
Aims
The course aims to provide a specialist educational experience at degree level enabling successful students to enter into careers in construction management. Commercial Management is essential at both project and company management level within construction organisations, in order to effectively control construction activities that involve significant financial investment and risk. The course focuses on three relevant areas of commercial awareness, human resources, and management issues. Students will develop knowledge and skills in these areas and apply them in simulated project contexts.
