The Pearson BTEC Level 2 in Information Technology qualification is designed to give students the opportunity to explore the IT sector, gaining the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment. Students will learn essential skills such as IT support and fault diagnosis, programming, database design, website production and digital graphics.
The course is meant for applicants who do not hold a Cambridge School Certificate (SC) or equivalent. Students who complete the level 2 qualification can progress to Level 3 qualifications which are equivalent to A levels or to a University Foundation Course.
