The British Computer Society Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology is designed to provide students with a programme of study relevant to the commencement and development of a career in IT. It is the academic equivalent to year two of a University Honours degree in England.

Professional Project in IT
If you are not going on to study the Professional Graduate Diploma in IT, you will also need to complete a professional IT project in order to finish your Diploma in IT. A minimum of 200 hours of study is recommended for the project.
