You will develop your expertise using building information modelling software systems that include Revit and Navisworks. Whether you graduated from our BEng(Hons) or already work in industry as an associate engineer, we will equip you with the skills to play a leading role in the design, installation and management of building services.

Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, it is expected that students will be able to:

  1. Analyse problems and make contribution to advances in engineering, technological and social issues associated with the building services industry
  2. Extend knowledge of sustainable technologies and resolution of emerging issues in the built environment
  3. Originality in the application of knowledge, together with a practical understanding of how established techniques of research and enquiry are used to create and interpret knowledge in Building Services Engineering
  4. To evaluate critically current research and advanced scholarship in Building Services Engineering;
  5. To focus upon systems design and implementation
  6. Provide the opportunity for students to complete a range of optional modules which will facilitate the development of their knowledge and problem solving skills suited to their working environment and general interest in the building services field;
  7. Analyse issues and concepts in respect to the Building Services technologies and related sciences in the resolution of Building Services problems;
  8. Understand, appraise and analyse project management skills including team working and leadership skills in application to Building Services problems.

Entry Requirements

    Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subject of Building Services Engineering or at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence.
