The British Computer Society Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology is designed to provide students with a programme of study relevant to the commencement and development of a career in IT. It is the academic equivalent to year two of a University Honours degree in England.

COURSE STRUCTURE

BCS Level 5 Diploma in IT consists of 1 core module and 3 Electives Modules and an IT project

CORE MODULES
1 Professional issues in IS Practice
PROPOSED ELECTIVE MODULES
1 Principle of Internet Technologies
2 System Analysis and Design
3 IT Project Management
Optional Professional Project in IT

Professional Project in IT

If you are not going on to study the Professional Graduate Diploma in IT, you will also need to complete a professional IT project in order to finish your Diploma in IT. A minimum of 200 hours of study is recommended for the project.

 

DURATION OF STUDY: 12 Months
STUDY MODE: Full time/ Part time
Entrance Requirements: BCS Certificate in Information Technology or equivalent
Awarding Institution: British Computer Society(UK)
